My research lies in environmental ergonomics. I investigate the interface between the human body and the environment, i.e. the interaction of humans with their thermal environment. Clothing (protective or sports) is an important factor in this interface. Hence I look at the heat transfer through clothing too. Also we investigate thermal comfort as well as strain in extreme environments.
