About

Gerard Draper was born in Barcelona in 1978. He obtained a Telecommunications Technical Engineer degree in 2003, at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), and a Telecommunications Engineer degree in 2007 from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He has been twice ERASMUS student. In 2002 he spent 6 month at KATHO, Belgium, and in 2006 he spent 7 months in NTNU, Norway. Since September 2008 he is a PhD student at the department of Mathematical Sciences and Information Technology at the UIB. The topic of his PhD is Security on Electronic Contracting Based on Web Services. His work is supported by a FPI scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN). His current research interests include Web Services security, electronic contracting, fair exchange, digital signatures, and network and e-commerce security. Before starting his PhD, he worked at Dome-Consulting as software developer and software analyst
