About

Gianni Rondinella is an urban planner, researcher in the field of non-motorized transportation and urban liveability with a PhD at the Transport Research Center of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (TRANSyT-UPM). He also has a Master Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Iuav University of Venice, Italy, and has worked extensively in the area of urban sustainability and mobility alternatives to the current socio-technical system of urban mobility. Since 2015 he is professor of Transport Planning at Universidad Europea at Madrid, Spain. His researches focus on the influencing elements in the choice of cycling as a mode of transport. He’s also working on conflicts and synergies among different transport modes and users, developing insights and knowledge to build solid policy strategies to make safe, fair and more liveable urban spaces for walking and cycling.
