About

Trained originally as a biologist and obtained a B.Sc. in biology from University of Iceland. Worked professionally as a bioinformaticist for several years, since being hired out of school by Icelandic biotech company deCODE Genetics. Worked for Lincoln Stein at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory until relocating to Leicester, United Kingdom to undertake postgraduate studies. Obtained a PhD from Leicester and worked there as postdoc until relocating back to Iceland in 2012. Worked for the ORCID initiative and University of Iceland until end of 2013. Now work for NextCODE Health, a new spinoff from deCODE.
