My research interests is to understand how epigenetics marks –specially DNA methylation- are stablished in early development stages and are maintained in somatic normal cells and how (and why) DNA methylation patters could become erratic or disrupted after the exposure of external stimuli (diet factors, more precisely) or in some diseases such as metabolic diseases or cancer.
