About

My current research is aimed at understanding the modes of function and variability within the planktonic community at the fixed LTER station - Marechiara in the Gulf of Naples, Tyrrhenian Sea. Using an established time series data set (1984-present), I will employ time series analysis tools to explore the functional diversity within planktonic groups and establish a set of working methods to analyze long term change. A larger objective of this research is to address whether changing climate patterns previously observed in the Mediterranean are exerting influence over the plankton community at this location.
