I studied and researched fluid dynamics and aeroacoustics and got a doctor of engineering in The University of Tokyo in March in 2010. I am working at Toyohashi University of Technology from April in 2010 until now. To predict the aerodynamic noise around high-speed transport vehicles such as automobiles, airplanes, Shinkansen and fluid-related machinery, I performed large-scale aeroacoustic computation along with wind tunnel experiments. Based on the predicted flow and acoustic fields, the mechanism of acoustic radiation and establishment of method for noise reduction are focused on. Recently, we tackled the research regarding control of aerodynamic noise using plasma actuators, clarification of effect of shape of musical instruments on tone and development ofmixer for bioreactors.
