About

Houbing Song received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of Virginia in 2012. His research interests are focused on optical communications, wireless communications and networking, vehicular networking, smart grid communications, and cyber-physical systems. He worked with Shandong Academy of Sciences as an assistant research scientist from 2004 and 2005 and with Texas Transportation Institute (TTI), Texas A&M University system as an engineering research associate in 2007. He has been the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the book series on Internet of Things published by Social Sciences Academic Press (China) since 2011. He has served on the technical program committee for the 2nd IEEE International Workshop of Smart Communication Protocols and Algorithms (IEEE SCPA 2012) and 2012 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC 2012). He has published more than 30 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
