About

Born in Zagreb, Croatia. Graduated with the Diploma of Engineering degree in Computing from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) at the University of Zagreb in 2001. After graduation he stayed as a research and teaching assistant in the Image Processing Group (IPG) at the University of Zagreb where he received the Master of Science degree in Computing in 2005. In November 2006, he joined the Center for Computational Imaging & Simulation Technologies in Biomedicine (CISTIB) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), as a PhD student and teaching assistant, where he worked in the field of segmentation and geometric characterization of the cerebral vasculature. He graduated with a PhD degree in September 2012. As of October 2012, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging (IIBI), University of Iowa, working in ophthalmic image analysis.
