About

I am Portuguese biologist, almost finishing my PhD in the "Biology and Ecology of Global Change" programme at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. My interests during my academic development have been quite eclectic from biogeography and bioinformatics, natural history collections, species conservation and ecology to environmental education and museum education. My current research aims at understanding the patterns of mammal diversity in Mozambique using primary biodiversity data. Also, I am an advocate of the importance of natural history collections as the vouchers of the world's diversity and for the comprehension of historical and future environmental changes.
