Research interests

ENSO; Fish dispersal across the tropical Pacific Basin; Preservation of marine biodiversity; upwelling in the ETP and extinction of marine life as a result of global climate change


A marine biologist and professional naturalist; senior author of The Fishes of the Galapagos Islands, published by Stanford University in 1997. He is also a Research Associate in the Section of Fishes at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and a Founding Partner of Zegrahm Expeditions. Jack is a member of the General Assembly of the Charles Darwin Foundation and a member of the Darwin Scientific Advisory Council of the Galapagos Conservancy.
