About

I recently earned a Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Educational Studies with a focus on Science Education. I have accepted a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Memphis in the Department of Biology and will start in August of 2016. My work focuses on the effective use of various classroom learning scaffolds to support undergraduate students in learning biology and support preservice teachers in learning to integrate life science concepts into their own teaching practices.
