Dr. James Albert is a professor of Biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. To date with colleagues Dr. Albert has 96 peer-reviewed publications (Google Scholar >2,800 citations, h-index 30) in Evolutionary Biology, Biogeography, Systematic Ichthyology, Aquatic Biodiversity, and Conservation Biology, and is a co-author of several books on the diversity and evolution of Amazonian fishes. These publications include descriptions of 50 new species, five genera, and six subfamilies.
