Jennifer Gottlieb

  • Longtime Florida Educator and Policy Maker


    For the better part of two decades, Jennifer Gottlieb has served as a teacher and public official in Florida. After receiving her bachelor of science in elementary education from Nova Southeastern University, she went on to become a pre-kindergarten teacher at Dania Elementary School. Later in her career, Jennifer Gottlieb took on the roles of arts integration specialist and satellite learning center facilitator. She also spent time as the government relations manager of the Broward Teachers Union in Sunrise, Florida. Most recently, Jennifer Gottlieb served on the School Board of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this capacity, she helped to implement strict anti-bullying policies, introduced one of the largest JROpTC programs in the country, and revamped the contract application process for construction, services, and materials. Jennifer Gottlieb spent one year as the chair of the board, where she approved an annual budget of more than $4 billion and oversaw a district with some 30,000 employees and 250,000 students.
