About

Currently based in the CLARITY: Centre for Sensor Web Technologies, in UCD, Dublin, I am working towards my PhD thesis on the automatic generation of control code for generic robots. This work is grounded in an assisted living context where much of the robotic behaviour development will be geared towards this research area. Prior to joining the CLARITY team under Prof. Gregory O'Hare, I completed a HDip in Computer Science, also in UCD. This was preceded by two industrial research based internships, one in the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics in UCLA, CA, in conjunction with industry sponsor Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), working on robotic path planning with limited sensor data, the other in LANL working on activity recognition in noisy video data. I received an honours degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Dublin, Trinity College in 2006.
