About

Application of flow cytometry to study plant genomes. In 2002, I've implemented this technology in the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Cytomics in the Department of Biology of the University of Aveiro more focused in the area of plant biotechnology. In 2008, I've enlarged my competences in this area, by expanding the use of flow cytometry to study plant polyploid complexes during my Post-Doc research activities in the Department of Botany of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Since 2009, as Assistant Professor and team leader of the Plant Ecology and Evolution Group in the Department of Life Sciences in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Coimbra, I am doing several efforts to implement this technique in the group.
