An executive with Goldman, Sachs & Co. for the past three decades, John Blondel currently serves as a Managing Director of the New York firm’s Investment Management Division. John Blondel also maintains an active community presence, which includes seats on the board and the finance committee of the Academy of American Poets and the chairs the Development Committee as wellas serves on the board of the Friends of the High Line. The latter organization has collaborated with the City of New York to create and maintain a unique Manhattan park that occupies an old elevated rail line.
Mr. Blondel also holds a position on the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s board and investment committee. The charitable nonprofit offers four-year academic scholarships to underserved minority college students. Scholarship recipients also benefit from a host of focused mentorship and leadership-training offerings, and they receive assistance in obtaining internships. A graduate of Harvard College, John Blondel earned his B.A. in American history and subsequently earned an M.B.A. degree at Harvard. He continues to contribute to his alma mater as the co-chair of the Class of 1978 for the Harvard College Fund.
