Throughout his career, he has assisted a diverse range of firms, including entertainment, financial services, telecommunications, health care, natural resources, manufacturing and technology companies. John Cummings incorporates elements of product stewardship, sustainable design, and innovation in his work. He typically utilizes the Global Reporting Initiative, the most widely adopted framework for sustainability reporting.
Since launching his career as economic development manager for the state of Wyoming, John Cummings has gained extensive experience in investment and communications. Some of his accomplishments include directing a $100 million natural resources project in Wyoming for a publicly traded subsidiary of PacifiCorp known as Nerco and assisting with the $2.5 billion sale of Johns Manville to Berkshire Hathaway. He also helped clients capture and communicate the true essence of their brands, products and ideas with strategic consulting services as a principal in Genesis, Inc.
Currently, John Cummings serves as the principal of Simplicity Communications. In this position, he leverages his skills in corporate sustainability and capital markets to assist private and public corporate clients gain a competitive edge. Two of his recent clients included a Fortune 50 entertainment company and a Fortune 200 technology company.
