I have a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, where I wrote a dissertation on post-Soviet Cuba and taught Spanish and Comparative Literature. I've published articles on Leonardo Padura, Abilio Estévez, Sergio Chejfec, and Theodor Adorno. My ongoing interests include comparative race and culture in the Americas, Critical Theory, and revolution.
