Research interests

My primary research focuses on integrating related data sets to explore the nature of disease. Currently I am interested in exploring host-pathogen perturbation with network biology techniques using HIV as a paradigm.

About

As a bioinformatician, I am experienced in a wide range of computational biology techniques principally network biology, phylogenetics, statistics and general programming. I'm Proficient in Ruby and R and working knowledge of Java, Perl and Python programming languages. Familiar with most bioinformatics software packages (network, phylogenetic, sequence). Additionally competent in website design (XHTML, CSS), scripting (AJAX, JavaScript, PHP) and database management (MYSQL); most computer systems (OSX, *nix, Windows) and a power user of most standard software packages (Microsoft and Adobe suites).
