About

José Ignacio Rojas-Sola holds a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering. He serves as Professor in Engineering Graphics at the Department of Engineering Graphics, Design and Projects at the University of Jaen (Spain). He is head of the research group ‘Engineering Graphics and Industrial Archaeology” from 1996 and he also was the Director for Western Europe of International Society for Geometry and Graphics from 1999 to 2008. He plays the role of Scientific Reviewer for many different associations and journals in more than 30 international journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports (Thomson Reuters), and authored more than 200 journal and conference papers including more than 60 published in journal quoted in JCR. He acted as well as an Expert for project proposals evaluation for the Spanish Ministry of Technology and Science and Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and he has main researcher in a lot of projects. Also, he has been supervisor of 10 doctoral thesis, member in 5 editorial board of scientific journals and member of the Scientific Committee, Steering/Honour Committee and Program Committee in more than 85 International Conferences. His research lines include Engineering Graphics applied to cultural heritage, vernacular architecture, industrial archaeology, engineering graphics applied to industrial heritage, history of technology, computer-aided design, computer-aided engineering or computer animation, among others.
