José María García is an Accredited Associate Professor at University of Seville within the Applied Software Engineering (ISA) research group. His research focus is on Blockchain, Semantic Web technologies, Service-Oriented Architectures and Linked Data. He received a Ph.D. on Computer Science from the University of Seville (Spain), with a thesis on improving Semantic Web Services discovery and ranking using a lightweight and integrated approach; as well as a MSc. on Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Seville. José María García has participated in several national and European research projects (e.g., MSEE, SOA4All, SUPPORT, S-Cube), including public-private partnerships. He has published more than 20 articles as conference papers, workshop papers, technical reports and journal articles. He has also co-organised national conferences and has been member of several conference and workshop program committees, and external reviewer for international journals and funding agencies.
