I am a Graphic Design and Product Design. In 2011 I completed an MA in Three Dimensional Design at the Manchester Metropolitan University, investigating the perception of contemporary trends of electronic devices, including product semantics, nostalgia, and an emerging hypothesis on the “essential characteristics” of objects. Then, in 2017 I finished my PhD research in product customisation. The focus of my research was on evaluating the consumer attachment and value enhancement towards mass customised products, particularly where the process of customisation is governed by automated systems, for example through computer algorithms, (i.e. customised for the consumer rather than by the consumer).
