About

Jukka Kortelainen received his M.Sc. degree in Information Engineering, D.Sc. degree in Intelligent Systems, and Lic.Med. degree from the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2006, 2011, and 2013, respectively. His doctoral thesis focused on EEG-based assessment of depth of anesthesia and the results were published in the leading journals of anesthesiology (Anesthesiology) and biomedical engineering (IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering). Dr. Kortelainen’s research interests include neural and cardiovascular signal processing for monitoring and diagnostic purposes. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu and also specializing in clinical neurophysiology at the same university. He is a member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
