About

Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health. Teach health policy and sociology on a range of mainly professional courses within the Faculty of Health. I co-ordinate two post-qualification/postgraduate awards in the areas of health policy, management and leadership. My background is in Russian & East European Studies. I completed postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham, researching welfare system reform in Russia with a particular interest in its impact on disabled people. I have a continued interest in health and welfare in the region. My current project concerns discourses of health system reform in Russia. Wider scholarly insterests include health system reform within the UK and at the international level; global health and social policy; public health and social determinants. <iframe src="http://figshare.com/badges/4/96905" frameborder="0" height="25" width="260"></iframe>
