About

Kaveh was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Up until college he never really left the neighborhood neither for school nor work. His childhood interests were computers, cosmos, basketball, and movies. Physics in college was boring at first. But eventually it grabbed his attention. At the end, he felt like he knows a tiny bit more about the nature. Physics wasn’t something he wanted to do for the rest of his life, so he moved on.

After spending a year in Magusa, Cyprus, he decided to apply for US student visa. He joined USC computer science master program in spring 2008 and immediately joined the GIS lab as a programmer. He is now a computer science PhD student at Spatial Sciences Institute.
