Dr. Khaled M. Gharaibeh received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1995 and 1998 respectively, both from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan and his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2004 from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. From 1996 to 2000, he was a Senior Engineer at Jordan Telecom, Amman, Jordan. From 2000-2004, he was a PhD student and research assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of North Carolina State University. From 2004 to 2005 he was a research associate post-doc in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of North Carolina State University. From Jan. 2005 to Aug. 2009 he was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Hijawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan. Since Aug. 2009 he has been an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Hijawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan. From August 2008 to Sep. 2009, he was an assistant Dean of the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. Since Sep. 2009 he has been the head of the Telecommunications Engineering Department at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. During his career at Yarmouk University he served as a member of the Yarmouk University Council, 2005-2006, a member of the Hijawi Faculty Council, 2006-2007 and a member of the ABET accreditation committee. His research interests are nonlinear system identification, statistical modeling of nonlinear RF circuits for CDMA system applications, Image registration, wireless telemedicine, and wireless communications. He has published more than 26 research papers in international journals and conferences and one book chapter. He is a Senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTTS), Jordan Engineers Association and the honor society Eta Kappa Nu. Dr. Khaled Gharaibeh is the winner of the Hijawi prize for academic excellence in scientific research for the years 2006 and 2007.
