Research interests

I am interested in the structure and property relationships of dyes used in dye sensitzed solar cells

Kian is a third-year PhD student working on the structure property relationships of dyes used in dye sensitised solar cells. The dyes are not only a key part of the operation of the dye sensitised solar cell (DSSC) but have interesting properties themselves. X-ray crystallography is the main experimental technique used, however, this is complemented with spectroscopic methods and computational modelling. Kian completed his MSci at Imperial College where his research focused on Gallium Arsenide based quantum well solar cells.
