Kostiantyn Torokhtii was born in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, on January 04, 1984. He received B.S. degree in Power engineering and M.S. degree (with honours) in Cryogenic Technique and Technology from National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTU “KhPI”), Ukraine in 2004 and 2007 respectively. From 2007 to 2010 he was a Postgraduate student with Department of Cryogenic Technique and Technology of NTU “KhPI”. He received PhD degree in Biomedical Electronics, Electromagnetism and Telecommunication from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy in 2013. Since 2013 he is a Research Associate with Engineering Department in Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. He had a few teaching fellowships from Roma Tre University in 2011 and 2014 in courses "Physics" and "Physics of matter". He was awarded a scholarship for study of pinning properties of YBCO tapes (01/01/2013-30/05/2013). He has some experience with characterization of the crystal structure by EXAFS. He has authored more than 25 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include microwave and millimeter-wave physics and techniques; electrodynamics and implementation of dielectric resonators, cavities and wideband non-resonant methods for surface impedance measurements; cryophysics and cooling techniques; high and low temperature superconductivity for practical application (complex superconducting structures and unconventional superconductors).
