About

I received my B.A. from Saint Anselm College, focusing on biology and physiological psychology. Shortly after graduating I took a position at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a research technician before later transferring to a position at Penn State's Hershey Medical Center. After working in research for two years I decided to pursue a Ph.D. and found myself doing so through the GSBS Program at UMaine. As a second year student in the GSBS Program I'm currently working at the Jackson Laboratory under the mentorship of Carol Bult and Rick Maser. My current thesis work is related to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and the identification of more accurate animal models of this debilitating and ultimately lethal disease.
