Olatomiwa obtained Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) and Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering both from Federal University of Technology, Minna Nigeria. He proceeded to University of Malaya, Malaysia where he obtained PhD in Electrical and Engineering (2016) with renewable energy specialization. He is a registered engineer certified by council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN), He is also a Corporate Member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and a Member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). His experience spans over 10 years in academia where he has being a Lecturer and a Researcher in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He current research is on "Optimal planning and design of hybrid renewable energy supply to rural health care facilities in Sub-Sahara Africa"
