About

László Nádai, PhD, was born on March 23, 1971 in Budapest, and graduated in 1994 as an IT engineer at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He received PhD degree in 2003. His research interests include modeling of dynamical systems, system identification, stochastic and fuzzy control systems, and intelligent transportation systems. Up to now he published 107 scientific papers, among them 1 book, 4 book chapters, and 16 journal papers. He is an expert of science & technology management having first hand experiences of working in each sector of the innovation value chain. Recently, he is the Dean of Computer Engineering Faculty of Óbuda University, earlier he was the Vice-rector for Strategic Development, and the Director of Transportation Informatics and Telematics Knowledge Center at the same institution. Between 2008 and 2010 he was the Head of Science Policy Department at the Ministry of Education. He was involved into several industrial projects as an expert; he worked for the Nuclear Power Plant of Paks, Knorr-Bremse Braking Systems Ltd., MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Company Plc., and Budapest Transport Company Ltd. He also worked in different research programs financed by both Hungarian and EU grants; i.e. “Cooperative Vehicle-Infrastructure Systems” (EU FP6, 2006–09), “Advanced Vehicles and Vehicle Control Knowledge Center” (National Office of Research and Technology, 2005–08), “Modern analytical methods of fault detection with special emphasis on vehicle industrial applications” (Hungarian Scientific Research Fund, 2006–08).
