About

Hi! I'm Laura. I feel lucky to be an educator and research librarian at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. As an academic librarian I spend most of my time working with students and faculty to integrate information literacy instruction, workshops, and research consultations into the WPI curriculum. WPI's undergraduate curriculum is built on project based learning across disciplines. This is my dream job because I get to work with inspiring students, librarians, and faculty on a daily basis. Much of my time and passion is spent supporting information literacy withing project based learning and engineering design. My Mendeley groups are a combination of my professional interests and groups I have created for graduate students at WPI, through collaboration with faculty, so that entire classes could crowd source their research efforts in areas such as Axiomatic Design and Fire Protection Engineering.
