    Laurent is currently working on research projects involving biosensors, microfluidics and Lab on a Chip applications at the ENS-Cachan Brittany branch. He is currently employed by the CNRS as a research engineer and responsibilities include the running and maintenance of a cleanroom and microfabrication platform. Previous experiences have included a post-doctoral position at the University of Tokyo at the Franco-Japanese LIMMS laboratory. His doctorate was achieved at the Université de Rennes-1 working on rare earth doped chalcogenide glass compositions. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison physics program.
