About

I am a Professor at the Department of Software Engineering and Information Systems of PUC Minas university, in Brazil. Currently, my research focuses mainly on investigating how computer systems can be employed in "citizen science", open science, and people-powered research. I frame my studies in human aspects associated with human engagement, credibility assessment and privacy concerns, drawing from both social science and computer science foundations. I teach Human-Computer Interaction and investigate teaching-learning approaches in this area.
