Dr. Lester D’Cruz is a Technology and Business Professional known for relentlessly listening for the core issues behind a problem, and following through with meaningful solutions. He launched his engineering career with the completion of his bachelor, masters and PhD degrees at prominent engineering institutions, followed by 16 years of solid technical leadership in fast-paced, intensely competitive engineering companies. Over the last 14 years, Lester has gained substantial large account technology management experience while working for leading semiconductor equipment manufacturers (Applied Materials, Inc, Watkins-Johnson Company). Here he worked closely with sophisticated, and demanding semiconductor manufacturers in Asia, Europe and US. He managed critical technical programs by interacting closely with the customer development and manufacturing teams, making their satisfaction his primary goal. Internally, he established efficient working relationships with all divisional technology managers, thereby delivering the best possible value to his customers. Lester is acutely aware that the world’s technology-driven economy is in a state of transformation towards symbiotic, collaborative partnerships. He is eager to apply his business education to the evolution of collaborative business processes for small and medium sized enterprises. In this regard, he is equipped to add immediate value to commercial enterprises in the emerging sectors of renewable energy, nanotechnology, and biotechnology. Furthermore, he envisions these engagements will allow him to build systems that enhance the creation and flow of knowledge in the lean, agile enterprises of the 21st century.
