About

Category: Ph. D. Student I studied Animal Behaviour at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, and Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. My undergraduate dissertation examined wolf-human social interaction and relationships at Wolf Park, Lafayette, IN, USA. During my MSc at the Department of Biology, Manchester Metropolitan University, I investigated social interactions and dominance hierarchies in Eurasian Beavers (Castor fiber) in Norway in collaboration with Wildcru (University of Oxford). After finishing my MSc, I worked as a research assistant with Cambridge University at the Kalahari Meerkat Project in South Africa. The work involved assisting with experiments, such as social learning in Meerkats with Alex Thornton, and Marta Manser and Simon Townsend’s work on communication. I completed an analysis project on reproductive conflict - suppression of subordinate female reproduction in cooperatively breeding meerkats (Suricata suricatta). Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Vienna working on a project under the supervision of Ludwig Huber, Friederike Range, and Zsofia Viranyi. I am interested in how cognitive functions can influence dog-human interactions, and the influence of aging in pet dogs on individual problem solving and reasoning abilities, learning, memory and trainability, physical cognition, social attentiveness, and social cognition.
