About

Luis graduated from the University of Exeter (UK) in 2008 with a PhD in Engineering. Luis's current research is into large-scale optimisation of logistic and manufacturing systems using Swarm-Intelligence and Operational Research techniques. Since 2013, he is a researcher at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and collaborates with companies of the auto-mobile business cluster from north-east Mexico to develop projects about operations optimisation using the aforementioned techniques. He is member of the Mexican National Researchers System and the Institute of Industrial Engineers from the US. Currently, he carries out research actively in collaboration with the Exeter Manufacturing Enterprise Centre of the University of Exeter (UK) and the Artificial Neural Networks and Evolutionary Computation of the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain)
