About

I am a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Beth Levine’s group in the Center for Autophagy Research at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (USA). My current project is focused in understanding the link between autophagy and cell death. Previously, I got my PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2015 at Universidad de Oviedo (Spain), studying the functional and pathological roles of the mammalian orthologues of autophagy protease Atg4 (or autophagins) in Prof. Carlos López-Otín's lab.
