Topological Data StructuresFluid SimulationVisualization
I am Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department from the Institute of Computing at the Fluminense Federal University since 2010. I received my BSc in Mathematics in 2004 at the Rio de Janeiro State University and my MSc and PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2006 and 2009 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. During my PhD I have been a visiting scholar of the Mathematical Geometry Processing group at the Institute of Mathematics at Freie University in Berlin. Currently (January 2015 - January 2016) In 2015, I was a post-doc researcher of the ViDA group in the Computer Science Department at New York University. My research interests cover most aspects of visual computing, but especially scientific and information visualization, numerical simulations, geometry processing and topological data structures. Marcos is the co-head of the Graphics Processing Research Laboratory (Prograf) at UFF.
