LONG TERM VISITING POSITION • Visiting Scholar at the “EUV Science and Technology Center” Colorado State University (CSU) during the period February – May 2004. All expenses were covered by CSU • Visiting Scholar at the “EUV Science and Technology Center” Colorado State University (CSU) during the period August 2005 – January 2006. All expenses were covered by CSU RESEARCH EXPERIENCE 2010 Conducting research activities leading Image Processing Laboratory at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Research areas: • Quantum physics. Photon entanglement experiments. Coincidence photon detection (development of the electronic circuits). Single photon detection (Photon counting using avalanche photodiodes and photomultipliers). • Quantum and classical correlation of light: Ghost imaging and Ghost diffraction experiments with pseudothermal light sources. • Spectroscopy: Fourier Spectroscopy. Coherence lenght control of semiconductor laser with optical feedback using an external cavity. Co supervised experimental research projects of Master and in advanced experimental students (1 year project at the lab) in the previous topics. 2003-2009 Ph.D. fellow and research assistant. Research activity in experimental and simulations on optics. Applications using EUV illumination. Research areas: • EUV photolithography: Printing nanostructures using diferent schemes with a table top 46.9nm laser.The results constitute the first demonstration of printing patterns with nanoscale detail in PMMA, using a compact laser whose wavelength is in the soft x-ray region, and illustrates the potential of these sources for use in nanotechnology applications. • High precision metrollogy: Design of an interferometer compatible with EUV illumination provided by a table top Ne-like Ar laser emitting at 46.9 nm. This interferometer it expected to achieve a precision higher than that obtained with similar instruments that utilize visible range lasers. Develope a model that computes the beam propagation trough the instrument. The model takes into account the influence of the fluctuations from shot-to-shot of the pulsed EUV laser by calculating the errors introduced in the interferograms and in the retrieved wavefront. Experiments on lithography were conducted at Colorado State University (CSU) during two visits in 2004 and 2005 2001-2002 Licenciature (Ms.C). Research activity in experimental optics, focused in two photon absorption microscopy. This resarch includes: • The construction of a two photon microscope, 1 micron lateral resolution (the first microscope abailable in Argentina at that time). This includes the design of both optical system and adquisition system. The optical system was based in an old confocal microscope, while the adquisition system includes the syncronization of the scanning system and detection with a code programmed in Labview. • Design of a scaning system based on a programmable high resolution Liquid Crystal TV Displays (LCTVs) used for spatial modulation of light, that allow scanning the beam on arbitrary shapes without introducing movable parts in the microscope HONORS AND AWARDS • CEFOP: Financial support (living expenses) to attend the "First Summer School on Optics and Photonics".
