Mario Binder is a Project Manager at ZLU Consulting and Management GmbH & Co. KG, an international management consultancy based in Berlin, Germany. He consults leading companies mainly in the automotive and supplier industry. He also holds a Visiting Research Fellowship in the Operations & Information Management Group of Aston Business School in Birmingham, UK, where he received his Ph.D. in 2007. Before joining Aston Business School as a doctoral researcher in 2003, Mario has worked in the chemical industry in Germany focusing on the benchmarking of logistics processes. He has published in various international journals including International Journal of Operations & Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications, International Journal of Business Performance Management and Benchmarking: An International Journal. His co-authored paper “Achieving internal process benchmarking: guidance from BASF” in Benchmarking: An International Journal was chosen as a Highly Commended Paper at the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2007. Mario also obtained an Aston Certificate of Learning & Teaching in 2006 and is now a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
