I am an Economist and the (2009-2011) Erb Fellow at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, affiliated with the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the School of Natural Resources and Environment. Current and recent research focuses on incentive design and interaction between public policy/regulation, strategic firm behavior and activism. Applications span policy relevant topics in competition economics, environmental and business economics. More precisely I work on policy implications of Strategic Corporate Provision of Public Goods or Beyond Compliance; the role of information in the interaction between national regulators and strategic firms that decide about international location or outsourcing, regulatory (over)compliance, quantities and/or prices when information is asymmetric or imperfect; links between Competition Policy and the Macro economy (esp. the financial sector). Previously I have worked on issues related to Asset Markets (I empirically investigated the pass through from asset markets, here housing prices, to the real economy) and Monetary Policy; Structural Funding and Regional Convergence; and International Outsourcing of Services (EC 2005).
