Markus Krause is a doctoral candidate at the “TZI Research Group Digital Media”. He is part of the doctoral school “Advances in Digital Media” and holds a fellowship from the “Klaus Tschira Foundation”. Through out his studies as well as in his industrial career Markus Krause gained experience in the science, craftsmanship and art of interaction and design. Markus Krause has gained experience as an art director in the gaming industry as well as a special effects artist and animator in the film industry. His primary research interests are interaction design and Human Computer Interaction in general and digital interactive entertainment systems and Human Computation in particular. Through out his studies he was engaged as a lecturer on design, digital media and human computation. The research focus of his doctoral thesis is human computation with digital interactive entertainment systems. Beside his focus Markus Krause was involved in research projects on Multi-Touch Hardware and Interaction Design.
