My main research interests are scale appropriate analysis, assessment and management of landscape water and matter dynamics (systems research, landscape models, river basin management, DSS). I work also on improving the linkage between IRBM and ecosystem services approaches and quantification of ecosystem services and trade-offs (multi-criteria optimization). Other work is related to model development (SWAT, IHACRES, erosion models), process controlling factors in landscapes, pragmatic erosion and flood risk models.
