Dr. Massimo Castellari (PhD, m) is Researcher at IRTA-Monells (Food Safety Programme). His present research area, basically Chemical Food Safety, embraces the development and validation of sampling strategies and analytical methods (UHPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, ELISA) to evaluate residues and contaminants in foods and feeds (ochratoxin A, antibiotics, anabolics, and PCBs). He is the scientific coordinator of the MUSE-Tech project (EU-FP7-KBBE; Ref. 613665) and the national coordinator of the AENOR Working Group 3 (Pesticides in fat foods) of the Normalization Technical Committee CTN34/SC4 (Food products analysis, horizontal methods). Dr. Castellari participated also in the EFSA projects GP/EFSA/CONTAM/2013/03 occurrence of pyrrolizidine alkaloids in food and GP/EFSA/BIOCONTAM/2014/01 on occurrence of tropane alkaloids in food.
