About

I am currently acting as Scientific Coordinator of the Project CHIS (Cultural Heritage Information System) funded for 16 M€ by MIUR and Regione Campania. The Project involves about 20 partners (Institutions, Research Centres, Firms). The aim of the Project is to realise a digital infrastructure for Cultural Heritage based on an innovative approach which utilizes an ontology grounded knowledge base both for mobile and for web-based digital services. The Platform is devoted to customize knowledge about Cultural Heritage assets with the goal to preserve and valorize them through a sustainable fruition (for example, by defining suitable “culture centered” touristic itineraries) While coordinating the whole Project, I am leading a workgroup aimed to define and apply a new formal definition of "context". We are also focusing on the methods of "affective computing".
