About

Matt joined the University of Washington's Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE) in June 2008 as a GIS Specialist. He provides support and training in research projects involving spatial data. He has seven years of GIS project experience spanning the range from data acquisition, to modeling and analysis, as well as web and hard-copy presentation. Matt has specific research experience in handheld GIS systems, time-series or change analysis, geographic visualization, remote sensing, open source web mapping, and population distribution modeling and analysis. Matt has an a PhD in Geography from the University of Kansas.
