X-ray excited optical luminscence (XEOL)

I am currently studying for a PhD at the University of Warwick. The main focus of my work is the development of an X-ray excited optical luminescence microscope (XEOM). This concept is being tested as a tool for real-time monitoring of corrosion on heritage metals, but has the potential to be used in a wide variety of areas where the mapping of surface chemical processes is desired.
