Matteo Giusti is currently a researcher at the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics (Stockholm).
Due to his background in computer science, and his professional and academic experiences in architecture and environmental psychology he developed a multidisciplinary attitude which easily adapt to the requirements of different working environments. His research approach is therefore transdisciplinary in the core. With his MSc thesis (“Reconnecting to the Biosphere: Children’s socio-ecological emotions for Nature”; (link)) he has explored the development of a psychical relationship with Nature due to the morphology of urban green environments in Stockholm. The theoretical advancements and the empirical evidence deriving from such MSc will shortly be converted into two scientific papers.
He is also collaborating with the German architecture firm N2M where he translates his scientific understanding of sustainable urban systems into the reality of urban planning projects.
